About
Rashedul Islam
I'm a PhD candidate in Human Factors at Clemson University, where I research how people understand, interact with, and maintain trust in AI-assisted systems — especially in high-stakes domains where design failures have irreversible consequences.
My background spans industrial engineering, product development, and UX design. Before Clemson, I led product at a publishing company, directed compliance operations at a central bank, and founded an NGO coordination platform that distributed over $100,000 in relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I bring the same rigor I apply to research — mixed methods, systematic analysis, evidence-driven decisions — to everything I design. I'm interested in work that is genuinely hard, consequential, and worth doing well.
